Is there likely to be any manufacturing delays like other crowdfunded projects which have failed to deliver?

With the positive response of the final samples we will be able to begin production before the campaign closes with no manufacturing complications. We’ve accounted for all potential delays we can forsee with our expected delivery date and are confident we will deliver on time. We have also ensured we are working with a factory that’s professional and able to meet deadlines.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship worldwide. The only exceptions are countries flagged as restricted by courier services: Belarus, Cote d’Ivoire, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, North Korea, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe. If you are located in one of these countries, contact us and we will do our best to arrange an alternative, though delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Shipping Policy

If a delivery attempt fails and the package is returned to us, a reshipping fee will apply. This includes situations where no one is available to receive the package, the address is inaccessible, the wrong address was provided, or you moved without letting us know before dispatch.

Orders will be dispatched to the shipping address provided on your Backerkit Survey

Your order ships to the address you provide in your BackerKit survey. If you move or need to update your address, make sure you update it directly in BackerKit. Changing your address on Kickstarter does not automatically update BackerKit. If you need help, reach out to us at https://www.chargeasap.com/support and our team will sort it out.

VAT and Customs Fees

Import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the backer and are not included in the shipping cost. That said, we have strategies in place to help minimise tax for backers, the same ones we have used across our past 13 campaigns.

Refund Policy

While the campaign is live, you can request a full refund at any time by clicking the “Manage your pledge” button on the Kickstarter campaign page.

Last updated: May 14, 2026 06:18

Return and Exchange Policy

All pledges are final. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform, not a store. Backing a campaign is supporting a project in development, not purchasing a finished product off the shelf. There are no exchanges or returns for change of mind.

If your product arrives faulty, email us at [email protected] with a description of the issue. Once we confirm it is a product fault, you will pay a $9 USD reshipping fee and we will send your replacement right away. Please note that if a product has been discontinued, we are no longer able to provide warranty on that item.

My local post is returning my order to sender

If your local postal service cannot deliver your package (outdated address, no one available to accept it, etc.), they will return it to us. Because there is a penalty fee for the return and the cost of resending, plus the reality that most returned packages never actually make it back, a reshipping fee will apply.

Does Miko come with a cable?

Yes. Every Miko includes a 17cm USB-C keyring cable that clips right onto the charger. It is designed to stay attached so you always have a cable with you. If you want something longer for your desk, we also offer a range of cables as an add-on.

Can I use Miko overseas?

Miko supports 100-240V input, so it works with any power grid in the world. The foldable prongs are US-style (Type A), so if you are travelling to Europe, the UK, Australia, or anywhere with a different outlet, just use a simple plug adapter. No voltage converter needed.

Can I take Miko on a plane?

Yes. Miko has no internal battery, so there are no restrictions. Toss it in your carry-on or keep it on your keys. No issues at security.

Last updated: May 14, 2026 06:22

Can Miko charge a laptop?

Miko is designed for phones, tablets, earbuds, and other small devices. At 30W, it can slowly top up a MacBook Air or similar ultrabook in a pinch, but it is not intended as a full laptop charger.

Last updated: May 14, 2026 06:22

Will Miko fast charge my iPhone?

Yes. Miko delivers up to 30W via USB-C PD 3.0, which means fast charging for every iPhone that supports it. You will get 0 to 50% in roughly 30 minutes on an iPhone 17.

Which countries can I use Miko in without a travel adapter?

Miko’s foldable Type A plug works natively in 50+ countries that use US-style outlets. Full list grouped by region:

North America: United States, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda

Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama

Caribbean: Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Anguilla, Aruba, Curaçao

South America: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela (parts of Brazil also use Type A)

Asia: Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Lebanon, Maldives

Pacific: American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau

Africa: Liberia

Note that Japan operates at 100V (not 120V), but Miko’s universal voltage handles it without any issues. For any country not on this list, Miko works with any standard Type A travel adapter, which cost a few dollars and are sold in every airport.

What about countries that don't use Type A plugs?

Two things make Miko travel-friendly anywhere in the world:

  1. Universal voltage. Miko accepts 100 to 240V input, so it works on any electrical grid globally without a voltage converter.

  2. Travel adapter compatibility. For non-Type A outlets, any standard Type A travel adapter does the job. These are sold in every airport and cost a few dollars.

Universal sockets accept Miko directly. These multi-country sockets are designed to accept multiple plug types including Type A, and you’ll find them widely in:

  • Hotels in the UAE, Maldives, Qatar, Singapore, and Hong Kong
  • Tourist resorts in Bali, Bangkok, Phuket, and Vietnam
  • International airport charging stations and lounges worldwide
  • Mongolia, where universal sockets are the default in homes and offices

Between universal voltage and a basic travel adapter, one Miko works anywhere you go.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
